March 27, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi\nEveryone,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   As I read through Proverbs 27, I was\nbombarded with great verses that I have used in my life and ministry for\nyears.  Everything from verse 6, \u201cfaithful\nare the wounds of a friend\u201d to \u201cverse 15, \u201cA continual dripping on a rainy day\nand a quarrelsome wife are alike\u201d, (ESV). \nWhat I finally came to understand about this chapter is that it gives us\ndirection in living in relationship with each other.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   So I chose verses 17-19 for my thoughts\ntoday.  17   \u201cIron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.\n 18   Whoever\ntends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who guards his master will be\nhonored.  19   As in\nwater face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.\u201d(ESV)  It is very easy to seek out relationships in\nmy life that always bring encouragement, praise and good feelings about\nmyself.  But if that is all I have than I\nlack those who will honestly tell me the truth about my direction, attitude and\npurpose.  I also need to have people\naround me that will not let me head in a direction that is not pleasing to God\nand not part of His will and plan for my life. \nSome of these people that I have given access to my life are both the\nencouragement that I need and the iron that sharpens me for God\u2019s glory.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   First of all thank you to the many faithful\nfriends, leaders, and family that God has used to sharpen my life in serving\nthe Lord together.  Secondly, I pray that\nI might be that friend, leader, or family that God can use to sharpen your walk\nof faith in the Lord.  We may not always\nsee eye to eye, but may the wounds inflicted bring the healing of God\u2019s\ndiscipline in our spiritual walk together. \n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Father, thank you for Your faithful work\nthrough the relationships that you have given me.  Thank you for my wife, family, board members,\nfriends and community members who care for me and are faithful to be used of You\nin my life.  May I be directed by You in\nsuch a way that I might be the same to each of them.  I praise You for Your faithfulness in\nchanging my life through the people You put around me.  Conform me to the image of Your dear\nSon!  In Jesus Name, Amen.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
