{"id":3011,"date":"2020-03-31T16:04:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:04:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hobart-community-church.org\/?p=3011"},"modified":"2020-03-31T21:39:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T04:39:48","slug":"hobart-herd-devotionals-proverbs-31-3-31-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/hobart-community-church.org\/?p=3011","title":{"rendered":"Hobart Herd Devotionals &#8211; Proverbs 31 &#8211; 3-31-20"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hobart Herd Devotional \u2013 Proverbs 31 \u2013\n3-31-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; This chapter seems hard to apply personally,\nbecause it spends most of the chapter describing the perfect woman, wife, and\nmother.&nbsp; If I was a woman, I would be\nappalled at the descriptions and feel like it would take a perfect super woman\nto fulfill all the descriptions found in the chapter.&nbsp; However, when I see that this was written to\na King by his mother to guide him in making wise decisions in his life as a\nleader and husband, I can receive a lot from this as the Spirt points things\nout.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; I want to say from the start that I so\nappreciate and love the wife that the Lord gave me.&nbsp; Ruth has been and continues to be a gift from\nGod and I am blessed everyday by her heart of service and love for the Lord and\nher family.&nbsp; She truly is a wife who is more\nprecious than jewels!&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Most of the virtues in this passage could\nand should be applied to my life and service.&nbsp;\nI should live in such a way as to be faithful in serving those I love\nwith the willing, loving, caring and wise ways that are mentioned.&nbsp; I should live as such an example that my\nfamily, friends, and even my enemies take notice of God\u2019s blessing on my\nlife.&nbsp; Everything I do should bring praise\nand glory to God as I faithfully apply His word to my life.&nbsp; I know I fall far short of living these\nvirtues before others.&nbsp; I do not live in\nthe fear and honor of the Lord, bringing Him glory by my attitudes and actions\nthe way I should.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Father forgive me for not seeking Your wisdom\nin my decisions; for not living in honoring reverence of Who You are.&nbsp; Your have blessed me beyond measure with the\nwife and family that I don\u2019t deserve.&nbsp;\nHelp me to serve You in such a way that they are blessed and give glory\nand honor to You.&nbsp; Thank you for Your\nfaithfulness even when I fall short in my attitudes and actions.&nbsp; May your will be done in my life and family\nso that others might glorify Your name.
