Hobart Herd Devotional \u2013 Proverbs 16 \u2013\n4-16-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Today I couldn\u2019t get past the truth of the first\nthree verses in Proverbs 16.  \u201cThe plans\nof the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.\n2  All the ways of man are pure in his\nown eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. 3 \nCommit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Yesterday I ate something that made me sick.\nCan\u2019t blame it on anyone but myself as I was the cook.  It has wiped me out today and messed up all\nmy plans to have my sermon and Power point slides ready to go so I can finalize\neverything for Saturday and record Sunday\u2019s Service.  I had my week planned out.  It was a good plan, and a plan that my heart\nthought was from the Lord.  However,\nsometimes God\u2019s plans are not my plans and His ways are higher than my\nways.  I have not been able to concentrate\ntoday long enough to get much done on the message for Sunday.  So I am going home to take a nap and see what\nhappens.  I have committed the work for\nSunday to the Lord and He has never let me down.  His sermons are better then the ones I come\nup with.  His Word is faithful, and He\nwill do it!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   I need to be reminded that even the best\nlaid plans of my heart done with right motives and good planning and right\nspirit may not be the plans of the Lord. \nSometimes it is the timing or the message that needs to be changed for\nGod\u2019s perfect plan to be done.  I need to\nmake sure I commit every day to the Lord and trust that the interruptions and\nchanges that happen in my day are Divine Opportunities from the Lord to trust in\nHim and His Plan!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Father, today I need Your healing touch and\nrest.  I know that I forget to commit my\nplans to You and allow You to lead and change them.  Forgive me for getting upset and bothered\nwhen things change, and plans fall through. \nI do trust that Your ways and timing are better than mine.  Help to rest in You today.  In Jesus name, Amen!  Pastor Rob<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
