Proverbs 21 &#8211; 4-21-20"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hobart Herd Devotional \u2013 Proverbs 21 \u2013\n4-21-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; One of the greatest words of encouragement\nto my heart today is that God is in control.&nbsp;\nAs I see the struggles and fears of this world, I am strengthened in my\nfaith that God knows what He is doing and has a plan through it all.&nbsp; Verses 1-3, \u201cThe king\u2019s heart is like a\nstream of water directed by the Lord; he turns it wherever he pleases.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><sup>2<\/sup><\/strong><strong>\nPeople may think they are doing what is right, but the Lord examines the heart.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><sup>3<\/sup><\/strong><strong>\nThe Lord is more pleased when we do what is just and right than when we give\nhim sacrifices.\u201d(NLT)&nbsp; No matter who is\nthe leader in this world, God controls his heart and can make God\u2019s plan and\nkingdom happen.&nbsp; The Lord knows the heart\nand intents of every action of man, He alone will be the Righteous Judge of all\nour thoughts and actions.&nbsp; If I want to\nplease the Lord, I need to obey His Word in justice and righteousness.&nbsp; Others can be bought with bribes or platitudes,\nbut the Lord knows our hearts and motives.&nbsp;\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Another truth that is found throughout the book of Proverbs is the joy of finding a good wife and the pain of living with a contentious, crabby, or complaining wife.(vs. 9, 19)\u00a0 How great is it to have the wife of our dreams and live in the joy and contentment of love and fellowship together.\u00a0 I get a kick out of the idea of Man sheds or She Sheds, especially during this time of forced togetherness.\u00a0 What a privilege to enjoy and appreciate time together with each other, loving and serving the Lord together.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Not only is it great to know that God is in\ncontrol and He has blessed me with a wife that I truly enjoy spending time\nwith; it is great to know that Victory belongs to the Lord.&nbsp; I love the great hymn, Victory in Jesus!&nbsp; Isn\u2019t it marvelous to know that the Lord has\nbrought us into a Victorious life, eternal life in Jesus Christ!&nbsp; Man can scheme and plan against the Lord, he\nmay even have the greatest weaponry known to man; but in the end nothing can\nstand against my Mighty Savior, and nothing can separate me from His Victory\nand Love!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Father, I rejoice today in knowing that no\nmatter what happens in this world, YOU ARE IN CONTROL!&nbsp; Forgive me for the times I become anxious,\nworried, frustrated and upset by the fears of this world.&nbsp; Help me to never lose sight of the victory I\nhave been granted through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.&nbsp; Thank you again for my wife and the love and\njoy that we share together in You.&nbsp; May\nYou help me to live in the victory and love You have given me moment by moment\nand may You receive all the glory from my life in Christ.&nbsp;
