Hobart Herd Devotional \u2013 Psalms 23 \u2013\n5-22-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   As I was meditating on these verses I began\nto remember what the Lord does for me continually.  The first 3 verses bring out the Provision of\nthe Lord.  He takes care of my physical\nneeds by providing me everything I need with the best care I could ask for.(vs.\n1-2)  In verse 3 I am given a picture of\nhow He meets my spiritual needs by restoring my soul and leading me in paths of\nrighteousness for His glory!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  How would I ever make it in this world\nwithout His presence?  Verse 4 gives me\nthe comfort of His presence that removes fear and brings strength in our\ndarkest hour.  One of the hardest things\nabout this time of \u201cstay at home\u201d is the lack of being able to be there as the\nLord\u2019s representative in the loss of loved ones and times of sickness.  The only consolation I have is that I know\nthat those who have put their trust in the Lord will know His Presence at times\nwhen no one else can be there with them. \n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  The 5th<\/sup> verse gives me peace at\ntimes when my enemies surround me.  The picture\nof being able to see the Lord bring peace and joy in the midst of my greatest\ntrials.  I am so glad that as I walk in\nthe Lord\u2019s presence there is the joy that overflows from knowing that His\npurpose and will is being done in my life. \nNo enemy can take away the \u201cwell done\u201d good and faithful servant that\nchanges my sorrow into joy!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   In keeping with the \u201cP\u2019s\u201d, verse 6 tells me\nof His Promise of Paradise with Him in heaven forever.  Oh the strength that comes from knowing His goodness\nand mercy is mine as I live for His kingdom here on earth and the promise of\neternity with Him forever in His House! \nI am reminded of John 14:1-3 where He promises to prepare a place for us\nand come again to bring us into His eternal Kingdom!  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Father, all I can say is thank you for\nsending us our Shepherd in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ!  As I meditate on all Your Provision, Presence,\nPeace, and Promise my cup truly does overflow. \nMay I never forget that You are with me and that everything I have is found\nin My Shepherd, Jesus Christ.  May You\nreceive all the glory for the testimony of my life in You.  In Jesus Name, Amen!  Pastor Rob<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
