Psalms 33 &#8211; 6-3-20"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hobart Herd Devotional Psalms 33 \u2013\n6-3-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Sometimes we sing and praise the Lord out of\nduty instead of out of joy.&nbsp; I know I\nhave been finding it hard to sing for joy to the Lord and worship Him from my\nheart.&nbsp; So why should I sing with a loud\nvoice a new song to the Lord?(vs.1-3)&nbsp;\nWhen I am down emotionally because of what is happening around me, how\ncan I change my heart to sing praise to the Lord.&nbsp; Psalms 33:4-5, 4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all\nhe does. 5&nbsp;&nbsp; The LORD loves righteousness\nand justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.(NIV)&nbsp; These verses give us the reason we can always\nsing and worship the Lord from our hearts.&nbsp;\nAs we begin to look around we can see that the earth is full of His\nunfailing love.&nbsp; His Word is true and He\nis faithful in all He does.&nbsp; Many times\nas I read the Word, I am lifted from the situations surrounding me to a true\nvision of the Lord and His goodness to me.&nbsp;\nHe is always faithful, true, righteous, just and unfailing in His love for\nme and His children.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; God our Creator is all inclusive in His\nlove, care and justice.&nbsp; In verses 7-15,\nwe are reminded that He watches all nations and every generation of peoples\nready to love, heal and deal with everyone.&nbsp;\nPsalms 33:10-12, 10&nbsp; The LORD foils\nthe plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11  But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,\nthe purposes of his heart through all generations. 12&nbsp; Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,\nthe people he chose for his inheritance.(NIV)&nbsp;\nIf you are upset with how things are going in this world, these verses\nare reassuring and bring my heart hope that allows me to rejoice and worship\nthe Lord in every situation. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; I can know that the eyes of the Lord are on\nme to bring me hope in a hopeless world.(vs. 18)&nbsp; I can wait patiently on the Lord because He\ngives me hope as I trust in Him.&nbsp; This\nhope allows me to sing and worship Him as He deserves even when the situations\nof this world are dismal and desperate.&nbsp; Psalms\n33:20-22, 20&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We wait in hope for the\nLORD; he is our help and our shield. 21&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in\nhis holy name.&nbsp; 22&nbsp;&nbsp; May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our\nhope in you.(NIV)&nbsp; With the Lord as my\nHelp and Shield, I can trust and rest in the hope that He gives me, always\nsinging a new song of praise to His holy name.&nbsp;\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Father, You truly do deserve continual\nworship and praise, a new song coming from my heart for Your faithful unfailing\nlove.&nbsp; Forgive me for letting this world\ndistract me from Your purpose for me, which is that I might glorify You in\neverything I say and do.&nbsp;
