Hobart Herd- Psalms 47\n\u2013 6-17-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   It is so wonderful to realize that God is in\ncontrol!  This Psalm is best understood\nas a celebration of the Lord taking His rightful place on the throne and ruling\nin the eternal kingdom of God.  So while\nthis Psalm celebrates the great majesty power and authority of our Lord as King\nof Kings and Lord of Lords, it should also remind us that God is truly a God to\nbe feared and worshiped today.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   While we celebrate the future of our Lord and\nKing, we are also able to celebrate and worship with loud shouts of joy because\nwe know that our King and His Kingdom is there for us today.  He is allowing this world to have a choice to\nreceive their Savior and Lord(2 Peter 3:9), realizing that many will rebel against\nHim.  But He is not willing that any\nshould perish and gives opportunity for His grace and forgiveness to bring \u201cwho\nso ever will\u201d into His family and kingdom forever.  Our worship services should be an opportunity\nto praise, worship, glorify and celebrate what the Lord has done for us, what\nHe is doing now, and what He will do when He comes again. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Psalms\n47:8, 8 <\/sup>    God reigns\nover the nations; God sits on his holy throne. 9 <\/sup>  The princes of the peoples gather as the\npeople of the God of Abraham.  For the\nshields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!(ESV)  God truly reigns, sits, and shields of which\nI am eternally thankful.  This Psalm may\nspecifically picture the reign of His believing people of Israel, but I am\nreminded that I (we) have been grafted in by faith and trust in the saving\ngrace of our Lord, Savior and King, Jesus Christ.  We are the adopted ones and we will be included\nin His eternal kingdom.  In our world\ntoday it is great to trust in the God who shields the earth and holds us all in\nthe palms of His hand.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Father, today I celebrate Your victorious\nKing and Kingdom.  My heart swells with joy\nat the salvations You have provided me.  May\nI never lose sight of the truth of Who You are and Your promise given to Your\npeople of ruling, reigning and rejoicing in Your presence for all eternity!  In Jesus Name, Amen!  Pastor Rob<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
