{"id":3550,"date":"2020-07-04T12:45:16","date_gmt":"2020-07-04T19:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hobart-community-church.org\/?p=3550"},"modified":"2020-07-04T12:45:28","modified_gmt":"2020-07-04T19:45:28","slug":"hobart-herd-devotional-psalms-62","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/hobart-community-church.org\/?p=3550","title":{"rendered":"Hobart Herd Devotional &#8211; Psalms 62"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hobart Herd Devotional \u2013 Psalms 62<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; As a sports fans we have been through a very\ndifficult time.&nbsp; Some of us have resorted\nto watching past games in order to fill the void.&nbsp; The only problem with this scenario is that\nwe already know who wins, and how it happens.&nbsp;\nWe have confidence in the final score because we know the end.&nbsp; This should also be true as believers!&nbsp; While we might not know exactly how the Lord\nis going to work things out in our lives, we do have the hope and promise of\nknowing the end score.&nbsp; This should give\nus a confidence and trust to wait patiently on the Lord.&nbsp; David learned in his life that he could wait\non the Lord because he knew the promises of the Lord.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; We need to recognize that the Lord is our\nRock and our Salvation.&nbsp; Therefore we can\nwait in confident faith and trust in Him.&nbsp;\nBecause of this \u201cI will never be shaken\u201d. (vs.2)&nbsp; Though the enemy tries to topple us from our\nTower of Strength, we know that nothing can take us from the Lord.(vs.\n3-4)&nbsp; Psalms 62:5-6, 5&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my\nhope comes from him. 6&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He alone is\nmy rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.(NIV)&nbsp; These key verses should represent our hearts\nin finding rest, hope, salvation, and strength.&nbsp;\nSurely we can trust in Him completely!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Psalms 62:8&nbsp;&nbsp; Trust in him at all times, O people; pour\nout your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
